ARMY SURVEILLANCE GROUP FROM WORLD WAR II VISITS NKY
Fort Mitchell, KY/September 2, 2008—The Army Security Agency holds its annual reunion for the ninth straight year in Northern Kentucky, September 10-14 at the Drawbridge Inn.
The Agency practiced electronic surveillance and later became the Army branch of the National Security Agency. Some of its work involved “Morse-intercept activities” against the Germans and Japanese and later in the Cold War between the United States and other foreign governments.
Nearly 40 surviving members of the group are expected to attend and will visit attractions while here such as the Creation Museum.
The mission of the Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau is that of an aggressive sales, marketing, service and informational organization whose primary responsibility is to positively impact the Northern Kentucky economy through conventions, meetings and visitor expenditures. The direct economic impact of visitors’ spending in Campbell, Kenton and Boone Counties in 2007 was $325 million.
