Hotel Happenings
What's new at the Radisson Riverfront?
Things are changing at the Radisson
Riverfront in Covington,
KY, beginning with Chartwell
Hospitality becoming the management company.
"Chartwell Hospitality is committed
to bringing this landmark hotel back to what many people in and around
the Greater Cincinnati area remember for years!" Diane Spurlock,
Director of Sales at the Radisson, commented.
Another large part of change at the
Radisson is the General Manager, Pete Jordan. Mr. Jordan
worked at the Radisson back in the 1980s he is not the only
returning face to the Radisson; Mary Jo Haviland is returning as the
Corporate Sales Manager and Kevin James as the Executive Chef.
The hotel staff is committed to upgrading
the quality and service of the Riverview Restaurant and keeping the menu
filled with most popular entrees.
The hotel is bringing back Kelly's Irish
Pub, which is being remodeled and will be reopening in the middle of
December. Kelly's will offer casual dining all day and through
the evening; it will be a great place to meet your
friends.
In March, guest rooms on three floors will
be transformed into a completely new guest room package. In
addition the entire hotel will have all rooms refreshed with new
carpeting and include the Radisson's Sleep Number Beds.

Bureau Hero
The Bureau Hero award is a chance to
recognize hospitality employees in Northern
Kentucky who go beyond the expectations of guests.
We have awarded two Bureau Hero awards in
the recent months. The first award
was shared between a couple at the Creation
Museum, Rich and
Geri Campbell of Hebron,
KY. The couple helped a
museum guests who were experiencing car problems.
The second award was given to Laurel Blank, of
Villa Hills, at the Embassy Suites at RiverCenter after she
found $220 at the hotel and turned it into her supervisor and the
money was returned to the guest.
These three people show the true meaning of what
a Bureau Hero is and how Northern Kentucky
has true hospitality. If you would like to nominate someone for Bureau
Hero, please contact Emily McGuire at 859.261.4677.
