Pam Martin, Judy Torrey and Marilyn McCauley Bring ABWA to NKY

The Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau is pleased to introduce Pam, Judy and Marilyn as featured Champions this quarter. Because of their efforts and dedication, the Northern Kentucky Convention Center will be home to the 2008 American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) National Women’s Leadership Conference in October.

As members of the bid committee, Pam, Judy and Marilyn were responsible for the initial site selection processes that led them to Northern Kentucky. A key deciding factor for the three women was the easy access to hotel accommodations, restaurants and lively night life in this area. According to Marilyn, the size of the Northern Kentucky Convention Center was also perfect for the ABWA conference, which usually draws over 1,000 participants.

As veterans in the site selection process, the group also noted the Convention Center’s large room layouts, reasonable cost and beautiful city views as perks. All three women were impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.

Pam, Judy and Marilyn are anticipating things will go smoothly in October, thanks to the integrated approach of the hotels, Convention Center and Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau. Each would highly recommend Northern Kentucky as a meeting destination and are already recruiting other organizations to experience what Northern Kentucky has to offer.
